Hello and welcome to my website.
I know that it can be a daunting decision to enter into therapy and once you choose to do so, it can be even harder trying to choose a therapist. Let me tell you a little about myself, which may help you decide if you would like to make contact with me. My name is Sarah Oak and I am an integratively trained Therapist, which means that I work in a way that is tailored to suit you, rather than in a rigid or set style.
For many years I have worked in front line services with people of all ages, from all walks of life and I have always been fascinated by relationships. The relationships people have with one another, with me and with themselves. This was the reason I trained as a therapist.
I have engaged with clients in custodial and community settings, for charities, local authority and private practice, on a wide variety of issues, including anxiety, grief and loss, depression, stress, anger, trauma, low self esteem, self harm, suicidal thoughts, relationship issues, physical and emotional abuse.
I am a warm and compassionate therapist and believe in the valuable long term affects of therapy. I strive to deliver an excellent service to my clients to assist them on their journey of change, which can be rocky at times. But I will walk alongside you as you navigate the path.
