My Services

As an Integrative Therapist, I use different therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of my clients. These approaches are:

  • Personal Centred Approach (PCA)
    This approach is based on the belief that we each have a tendency to become the best we can be. The relationship between the client and the therapist is significant to the process and the 'growth' of the client.
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
    CBT is goal orientated. The client and therapist work actively together, in a structured manner, to help the client over come difficulties and work towards specific goals. Homework may be included.
  • Transactional Analysis (TA)
    TA is a theory of personality and relationships. It looks into what goes on between people, how they interact and how the client thinks and feels, in order to help them make changes.

I also use some aspects of Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) which encourages the client to think about times when they have successfully managed similar problems and ways to apply these methods in the future.

Walk and Talk Therapy

Sometimes it can be helpful to be outdoors and physically in motion to stimulate thoughts and creativity. Or it may be difficult or uncomfortable to be seated for a counselling session in a therapy room if health issues are a factor.

I can offer walk and talk therapy, which combines traditional talking therapy with the dynamic of walking, side by side, at a pace that suits you.

The experience of being in an outside space, connecting with nature and physical movement, releases endorphins and can reduce tension. This enhances the therapeutic process and elevates mood.

Therapy can allow you to explore your experiences, share your thoughts and feelings around certain issues and understand unresolved struggles you have. It can help you develop coping strategies and a way forward to find a solution you feel comfortable with.

Trust is an important part of the process, so anything you share in therapy will be kept private and confidential.

The only exceptions to this would be if:-

  • I believed there was an immediate risk of harm to you or others
  • there were a legal requirement e.g serious criminal activity or a Court Order

This will be explained in more detail at our initial consultation where any questions you have will also be answered.


I work in safe, secure and quiet settings based in both Shenley Lodge, Milton Keynes MK5 and Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes, MK11.
